Here’s What You Missed: February
Ahh, February – the month of love – you were so so kind to us! With multiple events going on at Cornerstone this month, we hope you found one of them to take part in. But if you couldn’t, here’s what you have to catch up on.
Here’s What You Missed:
- Love Your Finances – This Lunch and Learn brought in members and guests to learn new and practical ways to grow your savings and prepare for your future. Financial Professional, Justin Ehrhardt examined four cornerstones to better managing your finances: protection (getting life insurance), growth (looking at compound interest), safety (protecting against loss), and advantage (reducing taxes on your accounts). He also listed six ways to get money on track through monitoring your cash flow, saving three to six months of income, eliminating debt, protecting your assets, building wealth, and preserving wealth. If you would like more from Justin, email him at jdewfg@gmail.com.
- Speaker Intensive – A Member-to-Member event, our friends Norwood and Jayne provided insight and tips on becoming a better speaker. This included professional singers, actors, hosts, and teachers as they taught guests to engage an audience, get more bookings, and increase your digital platforms.
- “Coupon Plug-ins for the Online Shopper”: As an adult, I expect to have great personal finance management and skills. However, the reality is that I hate it. This is the one responsibility that really bums me out. Shopping is my weakness and that’s not changing anytime soon. But thankfully (and for my husband’s sake) I’ve been introduced to some fun tools that make my shopping habits a little more justifiable! Check here to read some of our favorites!
What’s to Come:
- QUEENS – March 8 is International Women’s Day and we are celebrating for the entire month of March! Queens is a women’s only two-part series. On March 21, we are hosting a networking event for women meet other influential and powerful women. Then on March 28, we will dive deeper into the unique goals of ever woman attending. Stay tuned for ticket and speaker information. We can’t wait to celebrate the powerful women of Gwinnett County!
