Almost everyone lives this way, and that’s okay, but it’s important to enjoy every single day because life is too short not to. Here are some ways to appreciate every single day, from Monday to Sunday and every day in between.

Start Your Day Off Right: Wake up a little bit earlier than usual to give yourself a chance to wake up and get your mind ready for the day. Make an actual breakfast, make a nice cup of coffee and savor it, take a longer shower and sing, and enjoy your morning. By taking your time and actually making the most of your morning you are setting yourself up to have an amazing day no matter if it’s during the workweek or weekend.

Work On Something That Excites You: We all have our likes and dislikes at work, but there is at least one thing that you enjoy doing or that you are passionate about at work. Whatever that one thing is make time in your day to do it. This will add passion, meaning, and excitement to your work and will give you something to look forward to. Even if you only have twenty minutes to devote to whatever it is that excites you be sure to do it.it will make the rest of your workday exciting and meaningful.

Do Something Fun After Work: It’s so easy to go straight home after work, cook dinner, watch TV, then go to bed.  Don’t get me wrong, nights like this are needed, but they can get boring fast. Try switching it up on a weeknight by going out to eat at that fancy restaurant you’ve been wanting to try, by taking a yoga class, by grabbing coffee or drinks with friends, or by going to the park or pool with the family. Shake you weekday routine up by treating a few nights out of the week like a weekend!

Make Time For Yourself: Do something that you enjoy doing every single day. Whether it’s taking a bubble bath, getting lost in a novel, going on a jog, getting out in nature, or being around people be sure to incorporate it into your day. This probably sounds easier said than done, because sometimes it feels like there just aren’t enough hours in the day, but life is too short not to enjoy yourself every single day.  Check out our ‘treat yourself: self-care tips for busy entrepreneurs’ blog post for additional ways to treat yourself during the workweek and the weekend!
