Lifestyle Trends for 2019

We’ve made it two weeks into 2019. How’s your resolution going? If you’re anything like me, you’re still at it, but each day is such a struggle. Who actually likes going to the gym? One thing that has definitely helped me is seeing everyone’s journey on social media. I get to see my friends working hard, which pushes me to work harder. We’ve scoured some of our social medias for the most common posts and trends that we’ve noticed so far this year. Keep reading for a list of some of our favorite lifestyle ideas for 2019 and social media accounts to follow as well!


  • The Keto Diet: Despite Jillian Michael’s comments, the Keto diet is literally changing lives! The premise behind it is a low carb and high fat diet.  The Keto diet, which is very similar to the Akins diet, makes your body burn fat for energy instead of carbohydrates. I found out about this diet by my good friend Sarabeth. She is super transparent about her Keto journey and has been sharing it with the world for the past seven months and is down 45 pounds! Way to go, Sarabeth!


  • Essential oils: Now I know your social media feeds are blowing up with everything essential oil related. Sometimes it feels like you can’t catch a break from it. But do you know the truth behind essential oils? To keep it simple, essential oils are compounds extracted from plants of all sorts and used for aromatherapy. When used properly, they can help manage migraines, anxiety, insomnia, some oils can even be used for cleaning your house and enhancing your laundry.
