Give Back

As most of you know Proverbs 11:25 is special verse to those of us at Cornerstone.  This holiday season we are going to make sure we honor this verse by doing whatever we can to help two charities that hold a special place in our hearts. We are teaming up with The Path Project and The Amanda Riley Foundation this season to help in any way we can and we need your help to make this possible! Learn more about these two organizations below.

The Path Project

Join us this Christmas Season to impact the next generation by sponsoring Middle and High School students entering The Path Project Leadership Academy! How can you help? Sponsor a student for just $20! With your sponsorship, each of these students will have the opportunity to grow as a leader while visiting local businesses and hearing from business leaders in the community! Help play a part in the lives of our future leaders! Visit Cornerstone to secure your sponsorship or Donate Now!

The Path Project’s mission is to partner with families, schools, churches and businesses to help children and teenagers in at-risk communities close the achievement gap and find the right path for their lives – spiritually, academically, and socially.Did you know that in Georgia, only 57% of Latino students graduate high school? The high school graduation rates in the communities they serve have historically been even lower due to a variety of factors including:  limited English spoken in homes (majority Mexican immigrants), a lack of basic academic skills by 3rd grade, parents who did not graduate high school, a majority of residents living below the poverty line, drug and alcohol abuse, gang activity and a lack of positive role models.

The Amanda Riley Foundation

The Amanda Riley Foundation was established to brighten the lives of children battling cancer and to lend support to family members of these children. Their goal is to do everything possible to put a smile on a child’s face, today, while they are in the midst of their battle – during their toughest times. They work closely with CHOA at Scottish Rite to insure the children with the highest risk cancers and with the most needs receive our support. The foundation was established to honor the memory of Steve and Barbara Riley’s, 17 year old daughter Amanda who battled cancer for 405 days before going home to live with Jesus on April 9, 2010.

A smile takes but a moment, but its memory lasts forever. It is easy for you to create that memory for a child battling cancer, today. Cornerstone will be collecting gift cards throughout the Christmas season to bless a family with support they need in the fight for life. Please visit the Cornerstone Coworking Angel Tree to see how you can make a difference today!

We have a table set up at Cornerstone so that you can donate towards either of these charities. We also have an online option below!
