- Coherent – When writing or speaking make sure that it is logical and relevant to the topic
- Complete – When communicating, you should ensure that the audience has everything they need to be informed and if needed to take action.
- Courteous – Check to see your communication is friendly, open and honest. Stay away from hidden insults and passive-aggressive tones. Keep the reader’s viewpoint in mind and be empathic to their needs. This is an extremely important area of communication as I speak from experience. I have experienced where my lack of empathy with listening and communicating caused strife that will take some time to rebuild a relationship.
